Trump Warns: "Whoever Becomes Iran's Next Leader Will Ultimately Die"
Iran Offensive Enters Fifth Day
"Fifteen Out of Ten" Says Trump
U.S. President Donald Trump addressed Iran's leadership, which has been thrown into chaos following the death of its supreme leader, stating, "Everyone who seems to want to become a leader ultimately meets their death."
As discussions are underway regarding the successor to Iran's supreme leader, who was killed in an airstrike by U.S. and Israeli forces, President Trump made these remarks during a roundtable on energy issues at the White House on the 4th (local time). He warned that if Iran's next leadership continues its anti-American stance and pursues nuclear weapons, the U.S. could repeat its "decapitation operation" against the leader.
President Trump also commented on 'Epic Fury,' the large-scale military operation against Iran now in its fifth day, saying, "We are doing very well and will continue to do so," and added, "When someone asked me what score I would give out of ten, I said about fifteen." He further stated, "Iran's missiles are being swiftly eliminated, and their launchers are also being taken out."
President Trump said, "For 47 years, they (Iran) have been killing people all over the world, and we are receiving strong support," adding, "If we had not acted first, they would have attacked Israel, and they would have attacked us as well."
President Trump argued that if he had not withdrawn from the Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA, Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action), which the U.S. signed with Iran in 2015 under former President Barack Obama, during his first term in 2018, Iran would now possess nuclear weapons. He stated, "We are now in a very strong position, and their leadership is collapsing rapidly."
Additionally, President Trump referenced the surprise strike on an Iranian nuclear facility last June, asserting, "If we had not attacked, they would have obtained nuclear weapons."
