Blackpink's "DEADLINE" Sells 1.46 Million Copies on Release Day... YG Announces "Additional Production"
The group BLACKPINK has topped major domestic and international charts with their third mini album, "DEADLINE."
According to Hanteo Chart on March 3, "DEADLINE" sold 1,470,920 copies in the fifth week of February (February 23 to March 1), ranking first on the weekly album chart. This figure is based on sales counted just two and a half days after its release at 2 p.m. on February 27.
On the day of release alone, 1,461,785 copies were sold, setting a record for the highest single-day sales by a K-pop girl group. YG Entertainment stated, "Album demand has exceeded initial expectations, and additional production is underway."
The album also ranked high on digital music and video charts. The music video for the title track "GO" ranked first on YouTube’s global daily popular music video chart as of February 27. The current view count has surpassed 30 million. BLACKPINK became the first artist in the world to surpass 100 million YouTube subscribers.

The album has achieved the top spot on the iTunes album chart in 38 regions cumulatively, and both the title track and other songs entered the top ranks on China's QQ Music. The "GO" music video is receiving a positive response for its visuals conveying a message of courage and solidarity.
