NHN Hosts Headquarters Tour and IT Career Mentoring for Seongnam Youths
Enhancing Job Understanding and Bridging the Digital Divide
NHN announced on the 25th that it had conducted a headquarters tour and career mentoring program for local youths in cooperation with the Seongnam Youth Foundation.

View original imageThe event, held the previous day at the Play Museum in NHN's Pangyo headquarters, was attended by 30 youths from Seongnam (elementary and middle school students) who are interested in the IT industry.
They toured the headquarters and learned about NHN's corporate philosophy, and in the subsequent job mentoring session, they heard about various roles in the IT industry and real-world work experiences from current employees and executives. They also asked specific questions, ranging from how to prepare for joining an IT company to details related to game development.
NHN stated that, in line with the management philosophy of Chairman of the Board Lee Junho, the company is taking the lead in social contribution activities that leverage the technological capabilities and expertise of an IT company. In addition to mentoring on leisure and career exploration for youths, it is practicing sustainable management by working to close the digital information gap for vulnerable groups through its "Sharing Love with PCs" campaign.

An NHN official said, "We hope this program has helped broaden the youths' perspectives on the industry and given them an opportunity to make their dreams as future IT professionals more concrete," adding, "We will continue to contribute to nurturing future talent and expanding educational opportunities through various social contribution activities in collaboration with the local community."
