The Labor-Management Joint Council is a consultative body established through an agreement between labor and management during last year's collective bargaining process. Its purpose is to share awareness of changes in the shipbuilding industry environment and industrial transition brought about by technological development, and to proactively discuss practical, win-win measures that simultaneously take employment stability and competitiveness enhancement into account.
In his greeting, Yang Youngbong, head of the Ulsan District Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, said, "HD Hyundai Heavy Industries is a site where the spirit of indomitable challenge and practical action is alive," and emphasized, "For labor and management to achieve joint growth, everyone must pool their wisdom and intentions."

In particular, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries plans to enhance the expertise and objectivity of the discussions by involving external experts in the overall operation of the council.
