On-site Inspections and Preventive Campaigns for Onnuri Gift Certificates

This measure has been prepared in anticipation of an increase in visits to traditional markets and the use of Onnuri gift certificates during the Lunar New Year holidays, in order to prevent potential illegal distribution of Onnuri gift certificates and to create a distribution environment in which both merchants and consumers can use them with confidence. The headquarters will select high-priority inspection targets by combining the results of its Fraud Detection System (FDS) analysis with external reports, while regional headquarters and centers will visit traditional markets within their jurisdiction to conduct on-site inspections. If any cases suspected of illegal distribution are identified during the inspections, follow-up measures such as requesting administrative action will be taken in cooperation with the relevant Regional Office of SMEs and Startups.
In addition, the agency will carry out on-site campaign activities to promote proper usage of Onnuri gift certificates. Focusing on major traditional markets, regional headquarters and centers will conduct on-site campaigns to promote sound distribution of Onnuri gift certificates and will also listen to difficulties in the distribution process through cooperation with merchant associations and other on-site organizations. Furthermore, merchant associations will engage in self-regulatory activities at their local chapters nationwide, carrying out field-centered promotional activities such as installing banners and distributing casebooks to prevent illegal distribution.
