with Over 1,200 Attendees
Kim Seokki, former Acting Mayor of Changwon, held a publication commemorative book concert at the Changwon Moonseong University Convention Hall, attended by over 1,200 citizens and various distinguished guests. During the event, he engaged in in-depth conversations with citizens about the present and future of Changwon, as well as the direction in which public administration should move forward.
Changwon is a city that has steadily accumulated self-sustaining power as various industries and diverse lifestyles have grown together in harmony. Former Acting Mayor Kim emphasized that transforming this accumulated strength into energy for future urban development is a key responsibility for administrators.

Kim pointed out, "The strength of Changwon does not lie in any single region or specific industry, but in the fact that different functions and ways of life have been organically accumulated within the city over a long period." He added, "The important thing now is not to leave that accumulated strength as a past achievement, but to consider how we can carry it forward into our current lives and future choices."
Regarding the way citizens' voices are reflected in administration, he stated, "It is more important not to miss the recurring signals from the field than to simply listen to a lot of words," and
explained, "The voices of citizens are not just demands, but serve as a checklist indicating where administration has come to a standstill."
Speaking about his experience writing the book, he said, "This book is not a record listing plans for what to do, but a record in which I ask myself how closely and at what pace administration should move alongside citizens' lives." He continued, "No matter what choices lie ahead, I will make administration that values people over results and trust over speed my guiding principle."
On the topic of coexistence between young people and older generations, he remarked, "Rather than trying to persuade each other, we need a structure that acknowledges each other's time," and added, "Administration should play a role in ensuring that generational differences become assets for the city, not sources of conflict."
Former Acting Mayor Kim concluded, "Today is not a time to bring something to an end, but a starting point to confirm the direction we will take together going forward," and declared, "From this moment, I will begin again to pursue administration that comes closer to citizens' lives."
