Bucheon City to Operate On-site Job Counseling for the Middle-aged Every Wednesday
Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on January 8 that it will operate the "On-site Job Counseling for the Middle-aged" in cooperation with the Bucheon Workers' Welfare Center to support stable job placement and reemployment for the middle-aged population.
This on-site counseling program was established to address the lack of job information and limited accessibility experienced by people aged 50 to 64 who are either retired or going through a transitional period in their lives. Professional job counselors provide one-on-one customized consultations.
The counseling sessions are held every Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bucheon Center for Middle-aged Retirement Preparation. Two job counselors offer advice tailored to each job seeker's situation and career background.

The city plans to offer practical information on employment and entrepreneurship by linking various job resources, such as the National Employment Support System and the Bucheon Free Employment Center.
The city is promoting this initiative through collaboration between the Center for Middle-aged Retirement Preparation and related local organizations. It expects that the middle-aged will have easier access to job information and be able to explore opportunities that match their skills and needs.
