Hanam City Officially Opens 'Bangadari-gil Connecting Road' Linking Gam-il and Dongnam-ro
Hanam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on December 31 that the 'Bangadari-gil Connecting Road,' which links the Hanam Gam-il Public Housing District and Dongnam-ro, was officially opened on December 30 following a final on-site inspection before its opening.

They thoroughly checked the road’s safety and compliance with relevant laws, including those for traffic-vulnerable groups.
The Bangadari-gil Connecting Road, which broke ground in 2019, faced difficulties in obtaining permits due to issues such as interference with highway bridges. However, these problems were resolved earlier this year, allowing the road to finally be opened to the public.
This road, with a total project cost of 56.9 billion won, is a four-lane road measuring 630 meters in length and 20 to 35 meters in width. To minimize noise for nearby residents, low-noise pavement methods were applied to certain sections.
The opening of this road is expected to dramatically improve transportation convenience for residents of the Gam-il District. Previously, residents had to use the Gambuk Interchange or Gamil Jungang-ro to travel to Gangdong-gu and Songpa-gu, which caused detour inconveniences. With the new road directly connecting to Dongnam-ro, traffic congestion during commuting hours is expected to be significantly alleviated.
Hanam City plans to maintain thorough post-opening management. The results of the field inspection will be officially notified on January 16 next year, and any outstanding issues will be addressed before final completion, within the scope of winter construction work.
Additionally, the city will begin construction of acceleration and deceleration lanes for the Dongnam-ro connection section in March next year, aiming for the final completion of all works on the Bangadari-gil Connecting Road by June.
