[Market Focus] Hanwha Aerospace Surges on Lunar Lander Propulsion System Development Contract
Hanwha Aerospace is showing strong performance following news that it has secured a contract for the development of a lunar lander propulsion system.
As of 9:16 a.m. on December 29, Hanwha Aerospace was trading at 933,000 won on the Korea Exchange, up 63,000 won (7.24%) from the previous day.
On this day, Hanwha Aerospace announced that it had signed a contract worth 103.3 billion won with the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) for the "Development, Assembly, and Testing of Lunar Lander Propulsion System Components."

This project is part of the government's lunar exploration plan. The design of the lunar lander propulsion system will be carried out by KARI, while Hanwha Aerospace will be responsible for the production and testing of the landing engine and attitude control thrusters to be mounted on the lunar lander by 2032, as well as the overall assembly and testing of the propulsion system.
