'110 Billion Won' Jinju Sarang Gift Certificates to Launch in the First Month of the New Year
10% Discount Rate, Targeting 76 Billion Won Issuance
Expected to Spur Local Economic Recovery
Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province will issue 11 billion won worth of Jinju Sarang Gift Certificates in January 2026 to boost small business performance and revitalize the local economy.
The Jinju Sarang Gift Certificate offers a 10% discount benefit. Of the total, 10 billion won in mobile certificates will be issued on January 2, 2026, and 1 billion won in paper certificates will be issued on January 28, 2026, ahead of the Lunar New Year. The monthly purchase limit per individual is 200,000 won.
The total issuance target for Jinju Sarang Gift Certificates in 2026 is 76 billion won. The certificates will be issued in odd-numbered months from January to November, and also in October to further stimulate the local economy during festival periods.
The certificates can be used at approximately 16,600 mobile (ZeroPay) affiliated stores and 3,600 paper certificate affiliated stores within the city. The list of affiliated stores can be checked via the ZeroPay app and the Jinju City Hall website.
A city official stated, "The Jinju Sarang Gift Certificate serves as a means of revitalizing the local economy by providing discount benefits to citizens and boosting sales for small businesses," adding, "We will continue to do our best in 2026 to support local economic recovery through the effective management of the gift certificate program tailored to the region's needs."
