Snow Forecast Mainly for West Coasts of South Chungcheong and North Jeolla Provinces
On Wednesday, December 3, a cold air mass from the north is expected to bring severe cold to most regions across the country.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, tomorrow morning's lowest temperatures are forecast to range from -11 to -1 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs between -3 and 7 degrees Celsius. Winds are expected to be very strong, exceeding 70 km/h, especially along the west coast of South Chungcheong Province, the Jeolla coastal areas, and Jeju Island. In the mountainous regions and east coast of Gangwon Province, where a dry weather advisory is in effect, winds are also expected to reach 70 km/h.
Snowfall is forecast mainly for the west coasts of South Chungcheong and North Jeolla Provinces. Expected snow accumulation is 3 to 8 cm for the west coasts of South Chungcheong, North Jeolla, and South Jeolla, 1 cm for North Jeolla, Gwangju, and the central inland areas of South Jeolla, and 3 to 10 cm for the mountainous regions of Jeju Island.
Wave heights are expected to range from 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 1.0 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea.
