Mainbiz Association Holds Win-Win Cooperation Meeting with Public Procurement Service for SMEs
Twelve Institutional Improvement Proposals Shared
The Mainbiz Association (Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association) announced on December 2 that it held a 'Win-Win Cooperation Meeting for Growth Support and Regulatory Improvement of Management Innovation-Type Small and Medium Enterprises' with the Public Procurement Service at the Seoul Regional Public Procurement Service.
This meeting was organized to listen to the voices of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on the ground and to discuss directions for regulatory relaxation and institutional improvement, enabling SMEs that have secured competitiveness through management innovation to enter the public procurement market more easily. The event was attended by Myungjin Kim, President of the Mainbiz Association, six representatives of Mainbiz companies, and Seungbo Baek, Commissioner of the Public Procurement Service, among others.

View original imageThe participating business leaders proposed a total of 12 institutional improvements, including: ▲the need to expand and reorganize the Gyeonggi Procurement Support Center into the Gyeonggi Regional Public Procurement Service; ▲removal of the popular product list from the Nara Marketplace integrated shopping mall interface; ▲creation of new categories suitable for convergence products; ▲improvement of the credibility review criteria for the Public Procurement Service's excellent product designation system; ▲revision of the recognition criteria for technical personnel in the project performance evaluation (PQ) for supervision services; and ▲requests for information and changes to the G-PASS designation method, among others.
Commissioner Seungbo Baek stated, "We will thoroughly review the suggestions from the Mainbiz Association, expand SME participation in public procurement, and pursue effective institutional improvements that support the growth of innovative companies."
