Trump Releases MRI Results Amid Health Speculation: "Completely Normal"
Controversy Grows as Details on Area and Reason Remain Undisclosed
Donald Trump, President of the United States, who has recently faced speculation about his health, has released the results of his magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan.
Sean Babavella, Navy Colonel and President Trump's personal physician, stated in a letter released by the White House on December 1 (local time) that President Trump underwent cardiovascular and abdominal MRI scans as part of a comprehensive health examination, and that the results were "completely normal."
President Trump, who is 79 years old this year, had his annual health checkup in April and underwent another health examination in October. At that time, it was made public that an MRI scan had been conducted, but the specific area scanned and the reason for the scan were not disclosed. The White House also did not provide further explanation.
It is uncommon to include an MRI scan during a routine health checkup in the United States. This led to questions about whether there might be health issues concerning President Trump, and as reporters continued to inquire, President Trump announced the previous day that he would release the MRI results.
Colonel Babavella explained that the MRI was conducted as a preventive measure to identify any issues early, assess overall health status, and help maintain organ vitality and function.
He evaluated President Trump's cardiovascular health as "excellent," and reported that all major organs appeared to be in very healthy condition on the abdominal MRI. Colonel Babavella explained, "Such a detailed evaluation is typical in presidential health checkups for someone of President Trump's age, and this assessment confirms that he is maintaining an overall excellent state of health."

Recently, U.S. media have speculated that President Trump may be experiencing aging-related issues similar to former President Joe Biden, citing instances of him appearing to doze off at events or reducing his public schedule compared to before. In August, a photo showing a dark mark, presumed to be a bruise, on the back of his hand spread online, fueling further health concerns. In response, the White House explained that the bruise was caused by frequent handshakes and aspirin use, which lightly irritated the soft tissue on his hand.
