Who Did It?... Cat Found Half-Buried in University Flower Bed
A cat corpse was discovered half-buried in the soil of a flower bed at a university in Busan, prompting police to investigate the possibility of animal abuse.
The Yeongdo Police Station announced on December 1 that they had received a report at around 1:20 p.m. on November 22 regarding a dead cat found in a campus flower bed.
At the time of the report, the cat was found with its head and about half of its torso buried in soil, one leg broken, and blood in its mouth, according to reports.
The police are investigating the case for potential violations of the Animal Protection Act, conducting a forensic examination of the body and analyzing CCTV footage from around the university.
A representative from the Animal Abuse Prevention Association stated, "Given the unusual condition of the body, we need to determine whether there was human involvement."
