Hanjin Achieves Integrated A Grade in ESG Evaluation for Three Consecutive Years
"We Will Fulfill Our Responsibilities and Role as a Leading ESG Company"
Hanjin announced on December 1 that it has received an integrated A grade for the third consecutive year in the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) evaluation conducted by the Korea ESG Standards Institute (KCGS), with an A grade in the environmental sector, an A grade in the social sector, and a B+ grade in the governance sector.
Hanjin has demonstrated a stable, top-tier level of sustainable management in Korea based on its ESG report disclosures and the responses and supporting documents submitted to KCGS. In particular, the company was recognized for its tangible achievements in building eco-friendly logistics infrastructure and fulfilling its social responsibilities.
Hanjin is accelerating its transition to an eco-friendly logistics system by installing electric vehicle charging infrastructure at 17 logistics centers nationwide and introducing approximately 1,000 electric vehicles. The company began operating solar power facilities at its Wonju and Jinju sites in 2023 and has since expanded these facilities to Nambu Busan, Incheon, Daejeon, Pohang, Bundang, and Daegu.
Hanjin is also actively fulfilling its social responsibilities for mutual growth with small business owners. The company has signed an agreement with the Korea Small Business Market Promotion Corporation to participate in delivery and courier fee support programs, and its customized logistics service, "One Click," tailored for small-scale sellers, has received a positive response. Hanjin is also strengthening on-site safety management, creating a family-friendly work environment, and implementing the Safety Reporting and Suggestion System (SRS).
