Hanbat National University Sweeps Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences Academic Conference
Hanbat National University has swept the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS) academic conference.
On the 25th, Hanbat National University announced that undergraduate students from the Department of Computer Engineering participated in the recently held "2025 KICS Fall Comprehensive Academic Conference" and won two Undergraduate Excellent Paper Awards (Encouragement Prizes), one Creativity Award, and three Excellence Awards in the Undergraduate Capstone Design Competition.

View original imageThe Undergraduate Excellent Paper Awards went to Harin Jang and Yeo Jin Jang for their paper "Reinforcement Learning-Based Dynamic Link Scheduling for QoS Satisfaction in Wi-Fi 7 MLO Environments," and to Junseong Park, Hyunseok Jang, and Beomdo Park for "Robust Quantum Battery Charging via a Stepwise Reinforcement Learning Framework."
In the Undergraduate Capstone Design Competition, which was held as a separate session at the conference, the Creativity Award was given to Yeo Jin Jang and Harin Jang for their project "Real-Time Keyboard Input Encryption System."
Additionally, the Excellence Awards were presented to Junseong Park, Beomdo Park, and Hyunseok Jang for "Graph-Based Reinforcement Learning Charging Control for Maximizing Superabsorption Gain in Quantum Batteries"; to Kihun Gil, Minwoo Baek, Seoyoung Lee, and Jio Yoo for "Generative AI-Based Monitoring Service in Time Process Operations"; and to Jungseop Lee, Minseong Jeong, and Woohyun Kwon for "Real-Time Anomaly Detection and Visualization of Data."

Lee Sanggeum, Professor of Computer Engineering, stated, "It is meaningful that undergraduate students were able to define problems from everyday life and industrial settings on their own, develop solutions, and achieve these results," adding, "Hanbat National University will continue to strengthen research-based education to foster specialized talent in each field."
