HanmiGlobal to Host 'Smart Infrastructure Construction' Tech Forum on December 2
Conference Room 317, COEX, Seoul
Free Admission, Online Registration on a First-Come, First-Served Basis
HanmiGlobal, the nation’s leading construction project management (PM) company, will host a tech forum to explore solutions for applying smart construction technology to the infrastructure sector. The event will focus on strategies for implementing smart construction technologies in domestic pumped-storage power plant projects.
On November 24, HanmiGlobal announced that it will hold the 'HG Tech Forum' under the theme of 'Smart Infrastructure Construction' on December 2 in Conference Room 317 at COEX, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Participation is free of charge, and registration is available online on a first-come, first-served basis through the HanmiGlobal website.
This forum will bring together project owners, construction companies, and solution providers to discuss ways to integrate digital and automation technologies into social overhead capital (SOC) projects. While the use of smart construction technologies such as drones, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and digital project management is rapidly increasing in overseas infrastructure projects, adoption in domestic civil engineering sites has been slow. The forum will address this reality and focus on sharing strategies optimized for applying these technologies to domestic infrastructure projects, including pumped-storage power plants.
The keynote speech will be delivered by Cho Sungmin, Director of Research at Korea Expressway Corporation and former head of the Smart Construction Business Division, who will discuss 'The Future of Infrastructure Construction and the Role of Smart Technology.'
The first session will present real-world cases of productivity improvement at construction sites. DL E&C will introduce drone-based automated crack detection technology for port structures, Hyundai Engineering & Construction will share examples of pumped-storage power plant construction and smart technology applications, and HanmiGlobal will present smart PM methodologies for constructing pumped-storage power plants.
The second session will feature presentations from smart construction solution providers. HD Hyundai will introduce the current state of automation technologies in construction equipment, and Trimble Korea, a global construction software company, will explain case studies of digital design and project management applications. Additional presentations will include Seongpung E&A’s innovations in smart safety construction for vertical tunnel projects and RiskZero’s development of an AI-based industrial safety risk prediction model for its smart safety management platform.
