Softcen Turns to Cumulative Operating Profit in Q3
Softcen announced on November 17 that its consolidated sales for the third quarter of this year reached 18.2 billion won. This figure is close to the sales of 18.9 billion won recorded in the first half of the year.
Softcen operates an IT solutions business, providing B2C (business-to-consumer) value-added services such as messaging, voice, and authentication through partnerships with the three major telecommunications companies in China. In addition, the company offers ICT (information and communications technology) services including the establishment and maintenance of IT infrastructure in Korea, as well as manufacturing X-ray inspection equipment for secondary batteries.
The company stated, "Cumulative consolidated sales for the third quarter of this year amounted to 37.1 billion won, a decrease of approximately 8.8% compared to 40.7 billion won in the same period last year. However, due to intensive business restructuring efforts that began in the second quarter of this year, operating profit turned positive compared to the same period last year."
Meanwhile, Hong Kong Shengda International Limited, Softcen's major shareholder, plans to further strengthen management control and enhance governance stability by purchasing an additional 4 million common shares (worth a total of 1 billion won) through on-market transactions from December 5, 2025, to January 2, 2026. Upon completion of this additional share purchase, Hong Kong Shengda International Limited's stake will increase from the current 15.18% to 18.96%.
A company representative said, "Based on the stable growth foundation of our core IT solutions and ICT businesses, we have higher expectations for next year compared to this year, which has undergone business restructuring."
