[Market Feature] Hansung Clean Tech Hits Upper Limit on Winning Ultrapure Water System Contract for Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Plant
Hansung Clean Tech is showing strong performance in early trading.
As of 9:10 a.m. on November 6, Hansung Clean Tech surged by 29.99% (338 KRW) from the previous day, hitting the upper price limit at 1,465 KRW.
Investor sentiment appears to have been boosted by news that the company has secured two contracts: approximately 11.2 billion KRW for the 'Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Semiconductor Plant P4 Ph4 Ultrapure Water Complex Facility Construction' and about 6.8 billion KRW for the Green Building mechanical/piping installation project.
This project involves building an ultrapure water system, which is a core foundation for semiconductor manufacturing processes. The order was placed as the expansion of next-generation memory semiconductor production capacity accelerates in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). Samsung Electronics has recently increased the construction budget for the P4 Ph4 project and is preparing to break ground on its fifth plant, reportedly in anticipation of expanding high-bandwidth memory (HBM) production.
