It is a promising company developing core technologies in the eco-friendly industry sector, based on oil-water separation, wastewater purification, and water electrolysis technologies.
In particular, Twoen has strengthened its global presence by signing agreements with international companies in the United States, Japan, and Singapore, and by exporting oil-water separators to Japanese companies as part of its proactive overseas market expansion efforts.
Twoen's core membrane distillation technology reduces energy consumption by 30% compared to conventional reverse osmosis (RO) methods, while achieving an exceptionally high water recovery rate of over 80%. This has drawn global attention as an innovative alternative for sustainable water production technologies.
Twoen has now independently succeeded in scaling up its membrane distillation technology, and, in recognition of its technological capabilities, has been selected for the Deep-Tech TIPS program, under which it is currently conducting business.
Through this, the company is pursuing commercialization of seawater desalination and expanding the application of its technology to new fields such as wastewater from secondary battery processes and radioactive wastewater treatment.
Twoen's technology has been highly evaluated for simultaneously achieving environmental sustainability and economic viability. Its successful IR presentation and the receipt of the "Change Maker Award" at the KIC DC Tech Summit have once again demonstrated the company's technological competitiveness and global scalability.
Kim Jaehoon, CEO of Twoen, commented on the award, saying, "Winning the global IR competition is a meaningful achievement that signifies international recognition of our team's technology in terms of marketability and potential," and added, "We will continue to grow as a 'change maker' by applying membrane distillation (MD) technology across industries in Gyeongsangbuk-do to create sustainable innovation."
