Financial Investment Industry Continues "Kimchi of Love Fair" for 15 Years
The Korea Financial Investment Association held the "15th Love Kimchi Fair" donation event on October 29 at Yeouido Park, in collaboration with financial investment companies such as securities, asset management, futures, and real estate trust firms, as well as related securities institutions.
This year's Kimchi Fair saw a record turnout, with about 1,000 volunteers from 85 companies in the financial investment sector participating. A total of 342 million won in donations was collected, further highlighting the industry's spirit of warm sharing.
The 74,000 kilograms of kimchi prepared during the event will be delivered to over 160 social welfare facilities nationwide through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation.
First launched in 2011 to support underprivileged neighbors during the winter, the "Love Kimchi Fair" marks its 15th anniversary this year. The number of participating companies, volunteers, and the scale of donations continue to grow each year, establishing the event as a flagship social contribution initiative in the financial investment industry.
CEOs of financial investment companies and related securities institutions attended the event. Hogwon Choi, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District Office, also drew attention by delivering a congratulatory address encouraging the financial investment sector’s commitment to inclusive finance.
