On stage, the witty hosting of professional DJ and MC Youngsik set the tone, followed by a powerful musical gala performance featuring famous musical numbers, and an emotional live performance by talented vocalist Shin Eujin. The festival reached its peak during the final act by singer Jung Yewon, well known from "Kick A Goal," as the audience joined in singing, further elevating the spirit of the event.
A special walking event utilizing the 25th course of the "DMZ Peace Road" drew around 200 participants. Walking the one-hour course from the Baekja Museum to the Baekto Village observatory, a regional specialty project established by Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province in the border area, participants completed stamp missions at five checkpoints and enjoyed a nostalgic prize-drawing event for added fun.
The local market, with direct participation from local farmers, was also a great success. Popular attractions included sales of specialties such as honey from the civilian control line in Yanggu, apples, and traditional Korean sweets, as well as hands-on activities like making ceramic necklace decorations, natural soap and hand-dyed handkerchiefs using Yanggu’s unique white clay. In particular, restaurants in Bangsan-myeon made special efforts to inform visitors in advance so that many tourists could enjoy their offerings.
Family tourists who visited the festival showed keen interest in traditional folk games such as Tuho (arrow-throwing) and Jegichagi (Korean shuttlecock kicking), which they could enjoy with their children, and especially focused on the various hands-on experiences using Yanggu’s local specialties.
