An IT system failure occurred in 'Coupang Flex,' the application (app) used by Coupang delivery drivers, preventing them from accessing delivery information.

View original imageAccording to industry sources on October 20, the Coupang Flex app has been unresponsive since around 3 p.m. and had not been restored for more than three hours as of press time. The National Courier Workers' Union issued an emergency statement, saying, "Coupang delivery workers are required to complete two rounds of deliveries per day, finishing by 8 p.m., but they have been unable to check their delivery information, leaving them stranded." The union added, "There is growing concern among workers about potential disadvantages due to their inability to carry out deliveries as the app remains down."

In response, Coupang stated, "We are working to restore the app and identify the cause," and added, "There will be no disadvantages for contracted delivery agencies or drivers regarding delivery delays related to the app malfunction."
