Designed to point toward the starlight in the sky, the sculpture will remain installed on Turtle Island until next spring.
The lighting ceremony will be held under the theme "At sunset, everyone's lights come together to illuminate the starlight." Six beam lights and the giant Little Prince sculpture will be lit simultaneously.
Starting at 3 p.m. on the same day, a variety of hands-on programs will be available for children and families, including Morse code activities, necklace and tiara making, a photo studio, flea market, and a picture book exhibition.
After the lighting ceremony, a concert, flash mob, and meditative storytelling performance are scheduled to follow.
The city has designated the day as "Princess and Prince Day," encouraging citizens to participate in prince and princess-themed attire. Participants who follow the dress code will receive on-site event benefits and souvenirs.
