54 Additional Systems Restored During the Holiday Period
It has been confirmed that the number of government computer systems that were halted due to the fire at the Daejeon headquarters of the National Information Resources Service (NIRS) was 709, not 647 as initially identified.

View original imageOn the morning of October 9, Yoon Hojung, head of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters, stated in his opening remarks at the headquarters meeting, "With the restoration of 'N-TOPS,' the internal management system, we were able to accurately determine the total number of affected systems," adding, "As of 6 a.m. today, 193 out of a total of 709 systems have been restored." This results in an overall recovery rate of 27.2%.
According to the government, 54 additional systems were normalized during the holiday period, and services such as the Onnara Document System and the 1365 Donation Portal have resumed operation.

Minister Yoon said, "Dust removal has been completed in Computer Room 8, so it will be possible to resume operations there starting from the 11th," and added, "For Computer Rooms 7 and 7-1, we initially considered relocating to the Daegu Center, but if rapid recovery is possible by utilizing space within the Daejeon Center, we will also proceed with restoration at the Daejeon Center."
