Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on September 26 that it has approved the completion of the "Yongin Jeil Bio General Industrial Complex," which was developed in Geungok-ri 957, Baegam-myeon, Cheoin-gu.
The newly completed Jeil Bio Industrial Complex covers an area of 59,926 square meters. Of this, industrial facility land accounts for 51,492.8 square meters, or 85.9% of the total area. The complex also includes 5,435 square meters of land for public facilities and 2,998 square meters of green space.
The industrial complex was promoted through private development after the industrial complex plan was approved in July 2014. Currently, Jeil Pharmaceutical and Jeil Health Science, the project operators, have moved in. In addition to businesses engaged in the manufacture of medical substances and pharmaceuticals, companies related to beverage manufacturing can also establish operations within the complex.
The city expects that the completion of this complex will help create a cluster focused on the bio and pharmaceutical industries, revitalize the local economy, and generate jobs.
