Shinsegae Casa Launches 'Cucchinella', Enters High-End Kitchen Furniture Market
Independent Showroom to Open Within the Year
Shinsegae Casa announced on September 25 that it has officially launched the high-end custom kitchen furniture brand 'Cucchinella (CUCINELLA)'.
'Cucchinella' combines the Italian word 'Cucina' (kitchen) with the affectionate suffix '-ella', meaning 'a kitchen filled with affection'.
The launch of Cucchinella is a strategic move targeting the top tier of the domestic kitchen furniture market. Shinsegae Casa is focusing on the high-end custom furniture segment, which is estimated to be worth around 500 billion won within the domestic kitchen furniture market that has grown to approximately 2.5 trillion won annually, according to industry estimates. The company aims not only to enter the kitchen furniture manufacturing market, but also to pioneer and lead the high-end custom furniture sector, an area that has been challenging for domestic companies to attempt.

The company has differentiated itself by establishing a hybrid system that combines the flexibility and efficiency of domestic production. In addition, Shinsegae Casa offers a one-on-one personalized concierge service covering consultation, design, construction, and after-sales management, along with a warranty system that provides up to three years of free A/S.
'Cucchinella' made its debut on September 16 at the cooking studio on the 9th floor of the Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch, and will open an independent showroom within the year to begin full-scale business operations.
