Busan Bank Marks a New Turning Point in Revitalizing the Regional Startup Ecosystem
312 Startups Participate; 300 Million Won Invested in Award-Winning Companies
Collaboration with FLY ASIA 2025 to Expand Global Network

BNK Financial Group (Chairman Bin Daein) is actively supporting financial policy direction by not only fostering future regional industries but also discovering innovative ventures and startups and investing in venture capital, as part of its efforts to expand productive finance-one of the three key strategies announced in its Regional Economy Hope Declaration on September 8.
As part of this productive finance program, Busan Bank held the B-Startup Challenge at BEXCO in Busan on September 23, with a record 312 startups participating.
Through this competition, Busan Bank will collaborate with FLY ASIA 2025, an Asian startup expo, to expand regionally tailored productive finance. The bank also plans to focus on expanding its global network and invigorating investment in regional innovative startups.
Busan Bank will invest a total of 300 million won in five startups that received the Grand Prize, Gold Prize, Silver Prize, Bronze Prize, and Special Prize among the ten companies that advanced to the finals. The Grand Prize was awarded to Bark Inc., a developer of ergonomic footwear founded by rehabilitation medicine doctors, which will receive 130 million won in growth funding along with the award.
The Gold Prize, the Busan Bank President's Award, went to Simple Planet Inc.; the Silver Prize, the Busan MBC President's Award, was awarded to CEBB Science Co., Ltd.; the Bronze Prize, the Busan Technology Startup Investment President's Award, went to EMCity Inc.; and the Special Prize was given to Peoples League Inc.
