Main-Biz Association Partners with Soongsil University to Boost SME Competitiveness
Agreement Signed for Industry-Academia Cooperation and RISE Project
The Korea Association of Innovative Small and Medium Business (Main-Biz Association) announced on September 11 that it had signed a business agreement with Soongsil University on September 10 at Baird Hall, Soongsil University, to promote industry-academia cooperation and the RISE (Regional Innovation-led University Support System) project.
Through this agreement, the two organizations will cooperate in various fields, including: ▲ establishing an ecosystem for industry-academia cooperation and sharing/collaboration; ▲ jointly planning research and development and collaborating on technology development in specialized fields; ▲ providing field training and employment linkage to nurture practical, field-ready talent; and ▲ implementing programs to strengthen practical competencies.

View original imageIn particular, in connection with the RISE project, they plan to support the development of customized short-term training courses for member companies, researcher matching, operation of internship programs, and utilization of research infrastructure. They will also implement support for admission to the Soongsil University Graduate School of Small and Medium Business and scholarship-linked programs.
Additionally, through the "Think Tank 1000 Project," they aim to strengthen the technological competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises by facilitating research and consulting activities between experts-such as current and retired professors and researchers-and member companies of the association.
