Suwon City Recruits Tenants for "Multi-Child Human Housing"... Households Without Homes and with Three or More Minor Children Eligible
Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will begin accepting applications for the "Multi-Child Suwon Human Housing" program from September 15 to 18.
Eligible applicants are households without home ownership, with at least three minor children (including unborn children), and with all family members continuously registered as residents in Suwon City for at least two years as of the announcement date (September 1). The household’s average monthly income must be 70% or less of the previous year's average monthly income for urban workers, and the household must meet the asset criteria for public rental housing (total assets of 337 million won or less, and vehicle value of 38.03 million won or less).
Suwon City will select the top 49 households based on a scoring system that considers the length of residence in Suwon, the number of children, income level, and the duration without home ownership. These households will be offered rental units purchased by Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH). Current residents of LH-purchased rental housing can also receive support for deposits and rent without having to move.
The rental period is two years, but if conditions are met, tenants may stay for up to 20 years. Suwon City will support the monthly rent and deposit, so residents only need to pay the maintenance fee.
Applications can be submitted by searching for "Multi-Child Suwon Human Housing" on the Suwon City website, completing the form, and submitting it. Applications are also accepted via email (hys50@korea.kr) or in person (Saebit Civil Service Office, 1st floor, Suwon City Hall Main Building). To date, Suwon City has supported a total of 151 households through the Multi-Child Suwon Human Housing program.
