The seminar consisted of four sessions: ▲Response measures to the trend of strengthening the responsibilities of CEOs ▲Response measures to changing labor policies and compliance ▲Response measures to strengthening information security and supply chain due diligence ▲Introduction to the Corporate Value-up Program system and advisory services.
In the first session, Lawyer Ahn Changmo from Hwawoo's Fair Trade Group, who built his career as a working-level official at the Fair Trade Commission, emphasized the necessity of establishing a compliance system under the theme "Response Measures to the Trend of Strengthening the Responsibilities of CEOs."
Lawyer Ahn stressed, "Just as pearls must be strung together to become a treasure, it is important that corporate compliance activities are not fragmented but systematically organized."
In the second session, Lawyer Kim Daeyeon from Hwawoo's Labor Group, who has stood out in various industrial accident-related issues, gave a presentation on "Response Measures to Changing Labor Policies and Compliance."
Lawyer Kim proposed, "Recently, with the passage of the Yellow Envelope Act and the strengthening of regulations in the field of occupational safety and health, regulatory and policy initiatives in the labor sector are intensifying. Therefore, compliance should go beyond simple regulatory adherence and enable companies to understand the context of regulations and adapt proactively."
On the 26th, at the Hwawoo Training Center in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Lawyer Lee Geunwoo is giving a presentation on "Response Measures to Strengthening Information Security and Supply Chain Due Diligence" at the seminar titled "Compliance Response to the Trend of Strengthening Corporate Responsibility in the New Government." Lawyer Lee stated, "The new government has declared its intention to become an AI-powered government, but incidents of information breaches are increasing, and there have been continuous large-scale personal information leakage incidents in the first half of 2025. In this context, the Personal Information Protection Commission is actively utilizing systems such as privacy policy evaluations and prior reviews. There are also discussions in some quarters about expanding the scope and targets of current information security disclosures, and many companies are overlooking the fact that regulations are being tightened due to the Korea Communications Commission's survey on the status of location information businesses."
He continued, "From the perspective of information security and personal information, companies must pay attention to the safety of their supply chains, including partner companies. The international legislative trend, represented by the CS3D global supply chain due diligence law, is spreading to Korea, and a corporate supply chain due diligence bill has been submitted in this session of the National Assembly. The likelihood of its enactment is higher than ever before."
In the fourth session, Heo Injae, a partner at Samjong KPMG, introduced the "Corporate Value-up Program System and Advisory Services." Partner Heo said, "The Corporate Value-up Program is a strategic tool that enables companies to enhance corporate value and respond to regulations simultaneously. Companies need to actively utilize the Corporate Value-up Program to achieve substantial improvements in corporate value, which also aligns with the recent direction of amendments to the Commercial Act."
Lee Kwangwook, Head of the New Business Group, said, "This seminar was a meaningful opportunity to share response strategies for the key risks companies face. Hwawoo will continue to actively support companies so that they can grow stably in a complex regulatory environment."
