According to the Financial Supervisory Service's Integrated Pension Portal retirement pension comparison disclosure, Gwangju Bank's individual retirement pension (IRP) performance-based product yield over the past year was 7.96%, the highest among all banks. The bank's defined contribution (DC) retirement pension also ranked fourth among all banks, demonstrating excellent yield performance across the retirement pension system.
This achievement is attributed to Gwangju Bank's unique asset management expertise, which has borne fruit since it became the first regional bank in 2023 to include ETFs (exchange-traded funds) in retirement pension investment options. The bank has continued to discover and launch promising market products and has strengthened retirement pension yield consulting services using retirement pension specialists.
On July 15, Gwangju Bank signed an agreement with SK M&Service, the operator of Korea's largest welfare platform, to expand additional services for retirement pension customers. As a result, starting in August, Gwangju Bank retirement pension customers will be able to use a wide range of products and services in areas such as travel, leisure, recreation, shopping, health management, hobbies, and self-development at specially discounted prices through the exclusive welfare platform Benepia.
Bae Inmyung, head of the Trust and Pension Division, stated, "The core value of Gwangju Bank's retirement pension business is to help customers secure abundant retirement assets and prepare for retirement by enhancing their retirement pension yields. We will continue to do our utmost to provide better service to customers who trust Gwangju Bank with their retirement pensions."
