Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee Donates 50 Million Won for Flood Recovery Efforts
The Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee announced on the 22nd that it had delivered 50 million won to the Korean Red Cross to support recovery efforts in flood-affected areas across the country and to aid disaster victims.
This donation will be used for disaster relief activities in affected regions nationwide, including Chungnam, Gyeongnam, Gwangju, and Gyeonggi. It will fund the delivery of relief supplies, the operation of mobile meal, laundry, and shower vehicles, and support for relief personnel.
Chuljoo Kim, Chairman of the Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee, said, "I extend my heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their homes and suffered damage due to the sudden torrential rains," adding, "I hope that disaster victims and local residents can quickly return to their daily lives."
Meanwhile, the committee, based on the core values of respect for life and mutual aid that underpin life insurance, shares corporate profits with society and fulfills its social responsibility. Each year, it raises social contribution funds through donations from life insurance companies and provides support to places in need across the country.
