The evaluation was based on official statistics and data from related agencies spanning 30 years, from the launch of elected local autonomy in 1995 to the end of 2024.
Among these, Junggu District scored the highest in the nation in the “health culture competitiveness” category, with a score of 80.7. The health culture category is composed of indicators closely related to residents’ quality of life, such as health and welfare, healthy society, and educational culture. This result is especially meaningful for Junggu District, which implements policies directly impacting residents’ daily lives.
In addition, Junggu District ranked second among all autonomous districts nationwide in regional economic competitiveness and third in fiscal competitiveness, based on its urban infrastructure that combines tourism, downtown industries, diverse commercial areas, and major business districts, as well as stable fiscal management. This demonstrates the capabilities of Junggu District as a “local government with a solid foundation.”
