On July 2, Songpa District in Seoul announced that it had organized a special communication event between the district mayor and employees at the regular staff council meeting on July 1, marking the third anniversary of the 8th popularly elected administration. The event received an enthusiastic response from the staff.

View original imageThis regular council meeting was organized to encourage everyone by reflecting on past achievements and recognizing the hard work that has been done. Departing from the usual formal format, the event featured a relaxed and unique atmosphere with music, videos, and stories.
For the third consecutive year, the district has held its third-quarter staff council in a distinctive way. Following last year's abbreviation test and balance game, this year featured a surprise segment called 'Song Quiz on the Block,' providing enjoyment to employees.
Special guests Seo Gangseok, the mayor of Songpa District, and two employees from the MZ generation in their 20s and 30s appeared on stage. Modeled after the popular TV program 'You Quiz on the Block,' the two-person MC talk show covered a wide range of topics, from personal stories that are not usually shared with the mayor to business achievements.
Starting with Mayor Seo's stories from his time as a representative in New York, questions representing the MZ generation such as, "Mayor, were you also part of the MZ generation? Did you always dream of becoming a public official?" and "There's been talk about T-shaped talent, is your MBTI type T?" drew continuous laughter from the audience.
Before the communication session, a video of the 'Top 10 Outstanding Projects'?as voted by about 900 employees?was shown. The projects included The Sphere, The Gallery Lake, and Haha Hoho Olympic Water Park and Sledding Hill, among others. When asked which project he was most attached to, Mayor Seo encouraged employees by saying, "All projects, including those outside the top 10, have been well carried out."
