Busan Office of Education Holds Integrity Pledge Ceremony with Over 1,300 Participants... "Integrity Is the Beginning of Trust"
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) held a "Pledge for Integrity and Integrity Training" on June 24 at the Grand Auditorium of the Student Education and Culture Center, aiming to enhance integrity in the educational field and strengthen transparency in accounting practices.
This training was planned in response to a recent school accounting incident. Approximately 1,300 participants?including principals, administrative directors, and accounting staff?gathered to share practical measures for establishing a culture of integrity in public service.
In the morning, integrity training was held for administrative directors and accounting team leaders from both public and private schools. Superintendent Kim Seokjun personally presided over the pledge ceremony, emphasizing the sense of responsibility at the field level by stating, "Integrity is the face of Busan education and the beginning of trust." The session was followed by practical training focused on enhancing accuracy and accountability in financial management.
In the afternoon, integrity training continued for school principals. Audit Officer Han Dongin presented the "2025 Integrity Policy Implementation Direction," outlining specific action plans to improve integrity. A specialist instructor from the Integrity Training Institute delivered a special lecture on preventing abuse of authority and practicing integrity.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced its intention to use this training as an opportunity to spread a culture of integrity in public service and to continue implementing comprehensive improvement measures.
