The safety officers conducted intensive inspections focusing on areas prone to flooding, such as locations with frequent flood damage, steep slopes, and roads along rivers. Meanwhile, members of the autonomous disaster prevention teams removed debris from storm drains and water inlets in each neighborhood to ensure smooth drainage of rainwater.
The district plans to ensure that storm drains installed in each neighborhood are managed at all times, and will make every effort to maintain proper water flow by promptly repairing and maintaining both rainwater and sewage pipes.
Seo-gu Mayor Kim Ikang stated, "As heavier and longer rainfall is expected compared to previous years, we will mobilize all administrative resources to prevent flood damage and protect the lives and property of residents." He also requested, "We ask residents to pay close attention and cooperate to ensure that the storm drains in front of their homes function properly."
