The council also discussed an agenda item regarding the establishment and operation of a working-level consultative body to ensure the smooth and efficient formulation of the relocation plan.
During the meeting, participants discussed ways to include provisions for forming the working-level consultative body. Once this body is established, it will substantively address the selection of relocation settlement sites, discussions on installing basic living facilities within the relocation complexes, and administrative and legal reviews related to the relocation sites. The outcomes of these discussions will be submitted as agenda items to the Compensation Council for final approval.
County Governor Son Byeongbok stated, "This 3rd meeting marks the starting point for establishing an efficient and fair relocation plan for the final relocation plan recipients." He added, "Uljin County, the Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters, and local residents will continue to communicate to seek mutually beneficial solutions, and we will do our utmost to develop practical alternatives."
