Gyeongbuk Girls' High School Alumni Association Donates 30 Million Won for Wildfire Relief to Gyeongbuk Province on 100th Anniversary
The Gyeongbuk Girls' High School Alumni Association, which boasts a 100-year history, delivered a donation of 30 million won on June 9, 2025, at the office of the Vice Governor for Economic Affairs of Gyeongbuk Province to support wildfire victims in the region.
The Gyeongbuk Girls' High School Alumni Association has continued various social contribution activities every year, based on its affection for its hometown of Gyeongbuk.

View original imageAt the donation ceremony, Kim Jungsook, president of the Gyeongbuk Girls' High School Alumni Association, and three other executives were present. The donation will be used for practical recovery efforts, such as housing restoration and livelihood support for wildfire victims, through the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea.
Kim Jungsook, president of the alumni association, said, "I feel heavy-hearted that Gyeongbuk has suffered such great damage from the wildfires. I hope that this donation, prepared with the heartfelt support of our alumni association, will provide some comfort to the victims. We will continue to share warmth for our hometown in the future."
Yang Geumhee, vice governor for economic affairs, responded, "The donation delivered by the Gyeongbuk Girls' High School Alumni Association will be used with great care to support the recovery and stabilization of the lives of wildfire victims. I sincerely thank you for your warm-hearted sharing for your hometown."
