Soohee Lee, Mayor of Gangdong District, has joined the "Population Issue Awareness Improvement Relay Campaign" to foster social consensus and promote policy dissemination regarding the issue of population decline. This campaign is co-hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resources Development Institute for Health and Welfare, with central government ministries, local governments, and public institutions participating in a relay format.

Gangdong District is implementing effective policies to address population decline and low birth rates, such as providing a monthly "Special Incentive for Families with Multiple Children" and promoting the "Win-Win Project for Families with Multiple Children and Businesses (Organizations)" in collaboration with companies and organizations.
