Ulsan City to Launch Kkumgyeotae and Pumanne Care Programs for Elementary Gap Care
Recruitment of Care Program Proposals and Senior Care Personnel Begins on the 7th
Enhancing the Quality of Care Programs and Establishing a Regionally Specialized Care System
Ulsan City is launching two Ulsan-style responsible care initiatives that combine the talents of youth and seniors: the "Kkumgyeotae Care Program" and the "Pumanne Care Program."
From May 7 to May 16, the city will be accepting applications for care program proposals and recruiting senior care personnel.
The "Kkumgyeotae Care Program" provides high-quality programs developed by university students to Neulbom Schools and community care facilities, aiming to improve the quality of care services and offer on-site participation opportunities.
The program is open to university students residing in Ulsan and unemployed youth who have graduated within the past three years.
Eligible program areas include sports activities, culture and arts, creativity and science, social and emotional development, and climate and environment care programs.
Selection will be conducted through a two-stage process: an initial document review followed by an in-person interview. Selected programs may receive prizes of up to 500,000 won.
Selected youth participants will be active at Neulbom Schools and care facilities located in Ulsan.
In addition, the "Pumanne Care Program" offers care programs developed through the talent contributions of seniors, providing these to Neulbom Schools and community care facilities to enhance service quality and support fulfilling senior lives.
To apply, applicants must download the application form from the Ulsan Childcare Comprehensive Support Center website, complete it, and submit it in person, by mail (must arrive by the deadline), or by email to the Ulsan Childcare Comprehensive Support Center (Badeurae 1-gil, Dong-gu, Ulsan) by 6:00 p.m. on May 16.
Youth and seniors selected for the program will receive 20 hours of theoretical and practical training starting in June and will then serve as program instructors.
Program instructors working at care sites will also receive an activity allowance of 30,000 won per session.
The project is being managed by the Ulsan Childcare Comprehensive Support Center and is funded through the budget allocated for the designated pilot area of the Education Development Special Zone.

A city official stated, "This care project will provide high-quality programs to Neulbom Schools and community care facilities, thereby improving the quality of care services and supporting social participation by youth and retirees. We expect this project to establish a regionally specialized care system by incorporating the creativity of youth and the experience of seniors into the existing infrastructure."
