Baemin Launches 4th Year of 'Elegant Boss Care Fund' Project
Supporting Restaurant Owners in Need of Medical and Living Expenses Due to Accidents and Illnesses
Over 1,000 Beneficiaries and 3.6 Billion KRW in Total Support to Date
Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, announced on the 3rd that it has started accepting applications for the 4th year of the 'Woahan Boss Care Fund,' which supports restaurant owners who need medical expenses due to unexpected accidents or illnesses to operate their businesses stably and grow.
The Woahan Boss Care Fund is jointly managed by Bong & Seol Initiative, established by Woowa Brothers founders Kim Bong-jin and Seol Bo-mi for social contribution purposes, Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, and Woowa Brothers. It is operated with 10 billion KRW out of the 20 billion KRW donation pledged by the couple, and Woowa Brothers also adds donations annually to support the fund's operation.
The Woahan Boss Care Fund started by supporting 668 people in the first year in 2022, then 186 people in the second year in 2023, and 180 people in the third year in 2024, supporting over 1,000 restaurant owners since the fund's inception. The cumulative support amount reaches 3.6 billion KRW.
Owners facing difficulties nationwide have received timely medical and living expense support through the Woahan Boss Care Fund, including owner A, who suffered a major traffic accident while delivering at night, owner B, who was diagnosed with cancer while running a cafe and needed help, and owner C, who sustained severe burns during cooking and required specialized burn treatment.
