Suwon Nambu Fire Station Urges Special Caution for Fire Prevention in Construction Site Welding and More
The Suwon Nambu Fire Station in Gyeonggi recently urged extra caution to prevent fires during welding and cutting work at construction sites due to the dry weather.
The Suwon Nambu Fire Station presented the main fire prevention rules for construction sites as follows: ▲installing spark prevention covers (anti-scatter covers, welding fire blankets) during welding work ▲removing flammable materials and combustibles around the work area ▲equipping essential firefighting tools such as fire extinguishers ▲prohibiting open flames near the work area.

Especially with the increase in large construction sites, welding and cutting work has also increased, making it highly likely that sparks generated during work could lead to large fires."

He added, "Construction sites often handle flammable and hazardous materials, and there are many foreign workers who have difficulty communicating. Construction site personnel should always be prepared not only to prevent fires but also to respond quickly in case a fire occurs."
