Gong Yoo, Choi Woo-shik, Monsta X, Karina, Lee Hyori, and Others Donate to Wildfire Relief Fund
Stars have consecutively donated to aid the recovery from large-scale wildfires that occurred across the country, including Yeongnam.
On the 27th, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association received donations from actor Kim Yoo-jung, actress Kim Go-eun, singer Kim Hee-jae, ENHYPEN’s Jungwon, singer Kim Jong-kook, actress Noh Yoon-seo, singer Jang Geun-seok, singer couple Lee Hyori and Lee Sang-soon, aespa’s Karina, actor Gong Yoo, and others.
Actor Kim Yoo-jung donated 80 million KRW for wildfire recovery and said, "I sincerely hope that those who have lost their homes and are going through difficult times due to the wildfires will regain peaceful daily lives as soon as possible."
Actress Kim Go-eun donated 50 million KRW and said, "My heart was heavy thinking of those who lost their homes and are struggling due to the sudden wildfires," adding, "Although it is a small contribution, I decided to donate with the hope that it will bring comfort to those in need." Kim Go-eun is a member of the Hope Bridge high-donor group ‘Hope Bridge Honors Club’ and has consistently practiced sharing through Hope Bridge during disasters such as the 2019 Gangwon wildfires, the 2022 East Coast wildfires, and heavy rains.
Singer Kim Hee-jae donated 50 million KRW in his own name and on behalf of his fandom ‘Kim Hee-jae and Hee-rang-byeol,’ saying, "I wanted to send warm hearts to those who lost their daily lives due to unexpected disasters," and added, "This donation is a meaningful sharing made together with my fans ‘Hee-rang-byeol,’ not just as an individual." He continued, "I hope our small hearts become the strength for someone to stand up again." Kim Hee-jae and his fandom ‘Hee-rang-byeol’ have continuously practiced positive influence by donating under each other’s names whenever large or small disasters such as wildfires and floods occur.
Jungwon, a member of the group ENHYPEN, donated 30 million KRW, saying, "I hope this can be of some help to those affected by the wildfires," and added, "I am grateful for the hard work of the firefighters on the scene and pray for their safety."
Singer Kim Jong-kook donated 50 million KRW, saying, "I hope this can be of some help to everyone affected by the wildfires, and I sincerely hope the fires will be extinguished quickly without further casualties." Actress Noh Yoon-seo donated 10 million KRW, and her agency stated, "Noh Yoon-seo hopes this small comfort will reach those affected by the wildfires and earnestly wishes for the fires to be extinguished swiftly without further damage," adding, "We also express deep gratitude to the firefighters who are doing their best to extinguish the fires."
Singer Jang Geun-seok donated 100 million KRW, saying, "I sincerely hope the wildfires will be extinguished quickly and those affected can regain peaceful daily lives," and "I sincerely thank the firefighters who are working hard for the swift extinguishing." Jang Geun-seok, also a member of the high-donor group ‘Honors Club,’ has consistently donated for emergency relief efforts such as the 2013 Philippine typhoon damage, the 2022 Pakistan flood damage, and the 2023 T?rkiye-Syria earthquake damage. Moreover, he continuously performs good deeds every year for marginalized neighbors.
Singer Lee Hyori donated 100 million KRW, and her husband, singer Lee Sang-soon, donated 20 million KRW. Lee Hyori said, "Upon hearing the news of residents severely affected by the wildfires, I felt deep sorrow and decided to donate with the hope of providing practical help," adding, "I hope everyone can return to peaceful daily lives as soon as possible despite the sudden disaster." Lee Hyori is known for practicing good deeds by continuously supporting animal protection and socially vulnerable groups. Lee Sang-soon said through this donation, "I wanted to be of some help to those struggling due to wildfire damage," and "I hope everyone can safely recover their daily lives."
Aespa’s Karina (real name Yoo Ji-min) donated a total of 100 million KRW, 50 million KRW each for firefighter support and wildfire damage relief. Karina said, "There seems to be no time when we miss ordinary daily life more than now," adding, "I earnestly hope the prolonged wildfires will end soon and that all those affected can return to their daily lives." She also expressed, "I deeply mourn those who lost their lives in the wildfires and sincerely thank the firefighters who are working tirelessly day and night on the scene."
Gong Yoo, who donated 100 million KRW, said, "I hope this can be even a small strength to the disaster victims struggling due to the prolonged wildfires and to all those, including firefighters, who are working hard on the scene."
Actor Choi Woo-shik also donated 100 million KRW, saying, "I wanted to send a small but sincere message of support to those who lost their homes and are going through difficult times due to the wildfires," and added, "I hope all those affected can return to peaceful daily lives as soon as possible."

Red Velvet’s Wendy donated 50 million KRW to the Community Chest of Korea. Wendy said, "I send my deepest condolences to those who lost their homes due to the sudden wildfires," and "I hope the fires will be extinguished quickly without further damage." Wendy previously donated 100 million KRW to support COVID-19 victims and was registered as the 2602nd member of the high-donor group ‘Honor Society’ of the Community Chest of Korea in 2021.
Monsta X donated 100 million KRW to Good Neighbors. The donated funds will be used to provide emergency relief supplies such as daily necessities and school supply kits to affected families and to conduct psychological treatment and counseling for children experiencing psychological difficulties due to the disaster. Monsta X said, "We joined the sharing with the hope of being of some help to residents affected by the wildfires in Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk," adding, "We hope the residents who suddenly lost their homes can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
Singer Jung Dong-won, who was appointed as a public ambassador for the Korean Red Cross last year, donated 100 million KRW and relief supplies worth 30 million KRW to his hometown Hadong in collaboration with his fan club ‘Wooju Chongdongwon.’ Jung Dong-won said, "I sincerely hope this will bring comfort to those affected by the sudden wildfires and express deep condolences to the victims and their families," adding, "I also send thanks and support to the firefighters working day and night, and pray that the wildfires across the country, including my hometown Hadong, will be extinguished quickly without further casualties so that daily life can be restored."
