Gijang County, Busan Expands '10-Minute Pre-Work Safety Check Meetings' to All Workplaces
Jung Jongbok Serves as 'One-day TBM Leader'
at Forest Pest Control Monitoring Team Worksite
Gijang-gun (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced on the 20th that Governor Jung Jongbok participated as a 'One-day TBM Leader' at a high-risk on-site workplace, promoting the spread of the 'Pre-work Safety Check Meeting (TBM: Tool Box Meeting)'.
The 'Pre-work Safety Check Meeting' refers to an activity where, immediately before work begins, workers gather around a leader (supervisor or team leader) at the site to confirm, discuss, and share the day's work details and safety rules.
At 11 a.m. on this day, at the pest control operation site of the Forest Pest Control Monitoring Team (located in Cheonggwang-ri, Ilgwang-eup), Governor Jung carried out the 'One-day TBM Leader' activity with all team leaders and workers from each work sector participating.
Before starting work, they shared the work details and safety rules for ▲logging operations ▲heavy material handling ▲refueling, as well as near-miss accident cases, and conducted stretching exercises. In addition, they carried out on-site inspections such as ▲checking if protective equipment was worn ▲availability of first aid kits ▲compliance with safety rules during logging ▲identification of harmful or dangerous factors at the site ▲listening to workers' opinions.
Along with this activity, the county plans to expand the '10-Minute Pre-work Safety Check Meeting' to all department workplaces, aiming to achieve both the protection of on-site workers' health and the prevention of industrial accidents.
