'Geonjilbeopsa Gochunheongeum' Local Election Candidate's First Trial on the 7th of Next Month
The first trial regarding the allegations of illegal political fund acceptance by 'Geonjin Beopsa' Jeon Seong-bae during the 2018 local elections will begin next month.
According to the legal community on the 10th, Judge Go So-young of the Seoul Southern District Court Criminal Division 9 will hold the first trial session on the 7th of next month for three individuals, including Jeong, who are accused of violating the Political Funds Act.
Jeong was indicted without detention on December 27 last year for handing over about 100 million won to Jeon on January 11-12, 2018, to receive the nomination as the Liberty Korea Party (predecessor of the People Power Party) candidate for mayor of Yeongcheon, Gyeongbuk.
