Shinhyup Central Association Establishes Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters
Supervising 60 Credit Unions and 9 Trillion Won in Assets
The National Credit Union Federation of Korea (NACUFOK) announced on the 6th that it held an opening ceremony for the 'Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters' in Seokjeon, Changwon, Gyeongnam. The event was attended by Kim Yoonsik, Chairman of NACUFOK, along with executives and employees, chairpersons of credit unions in Ulsan and Gyeongnam, standing directors, operational managers, and members of the steering committee.
This headquarters oversees 114 branches with assets totaling 9 trillion won. It operates separately from the existing Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters. With the establishment of this headquarters, NACUFOK will work more closely with 60 credit unions in Ulsan and Gyeongnam, providing systematic support for local union operations.
This year, NACUFOK expanded its organizational structure from 10 regional headquarters to 12 through a reorganization. The Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters was divided into the Busan Headquarters and the Ulsan-Gyeongnam Headquarters, while the Incheon-Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters was reorganized into the Incheon Headquarters and the Gyeonggi Headquarters.

At the opening ceremony, Chairman Kim stated, “The establishment of the Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters is an important turning point to enhance the autonomy and competitiveness of local credit unions and contribute to revitalizing the regional economy. We will do our best to maximize the operational efficiency of each union and provide faster and more stable financial services to members.”
