Cheonan City Selected as an Excellent Institution in Local Government Innovation Evaluation for 7 Consecutive Years
Recognized for Achievements Including 3D Model-Based AI Visualization of Boundaries
Cheonan City in Chungnam Province announced on the 26th that it has been selected as an excellent institution for the seventh consecutive year in the "2024 Local Government Innovation Evaluation" hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
This evaluation is conducted for 243 local governments nationwide to strengthen their autonomous innovation capabilities and to create tangible results that residents can experience.
The city received high marks for being the first in the country to implement a three-dimensional boundary visualization technology using artificial intelligence (AI) based on 3D models without a budget, as well as for improving organizational culture.
In addition, Cheonan was recognized for its innovative environment and detailed resident-oriented projects, including: ▲ selection as a hub-type smart city ▲ establishment of a crisis response team for children ▲ discovery and fostering of Cheonan-style unicorn companies (C-STAR project) ▲ one-stop growth support for youth escaping isolation ▲ and the implementation of a smart AI safe boarding guidance system.
Mayor Park Sangdon said, "Being selected as an excellent institution this time is the result of communicating and cooperating with citizens to realize citizen-centered administration," and added, "We will continue to create new growth engines through ongoing innovation and lead sustainable regional development."
