Gyeonggi-do, CPTED Special Audit... 11 Cases Detected Including Non-Operation of Safety Emergency Bells
Gyeonggi Province conducted an audit on the 'Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)' project, discovering 11 cases of inadequate management and taking administrative actions such as warnings and notifications.
The Gyeonggi Province Audit Committee announced on the 18th that from April 4 to 20 last year, it inspected the post-management status of the CPTED project across eight projects in four areas: Suwon, Paju, Gwangju, and Guri, and took these administrative measures.
The audit results revealed a total of 11 management deficiencies, including ▲failure to implement the original project plan ▲neglect of damaged structures (such as safety mirrors and pedestrian protection fences) ▲non-illumination of nighttime landscape lighting ▲non-functioning emergency safety bells ▲deterioration of guide signs.
This special audit was conducted as part of the 'Gyeonggi Province Data Analysis Project,' a collaborative project between the AI Bureau and various departments of Gyeonggi Province last year, where 'Deriving audit topics through analysis of residents' interests' was selected as one of the tasks.
