Through this grand theater remodeling project, the seating and outdated equipment were replaced, and the exhibition convention hall was renovated.
The newly renovated grand theater minimized noise and dust generated during walking by using cork flooring, an eco-friendly material. The seats were equipped with an airflow system that facilitates sweat evaporation when seated, creating a comfortable environment for enjoying performances.
To enhance concentration during performances, the seating arrangement was reorganized, and to improve the acoustic environment, the speakers were replaced with high-quality sound speakers, and additional stage LED lighting was installed. This brought significant changes to the system to enable various performance productions.
The exhibition convention hall was completely renovated into a modern space, increasing the efficiency of space utilization so that citizens can hold various exhibitions and events.
A Taebaek City official stated, “We expect the Taebaek Culture and Arts Center Grand Theater to provide an improved performance environment through remodeling,” and added, “We will expand cultural enjoyment opportunities for citizens through various performances and exhibitions.”
